Google Video Marketplace unerwartet geschlossen

Der Google Video Marketplace wurde heute unerwartet geschlossen. Auf dem Video Marktplatz wurden Videos zur Miete und zum Verkauf angeboten. Der Video Marktplatz startete im Januar 2006 als Antwort von Google Chef Larry Page auf das iTunes Angebot "Verkauf von Fernseh Shows" im Web.

Die Nachricht über die Schließung des Google Video Marketplace erreichte alle Nutzer der Plattform wie bei Google gewohnt per E-Mail, die unterhalb dieses Posts zu lesen ist. Bei anderen Internetunternehmen hätte ein solche Bekanntgabe sicher ein kleineres "Erdbeben" an der Börse ausgelöst :-)

In an effort to improve all Google services, we will no longer offer theability to buy or rent vi deos for download from Google Video, ending the DTO/DTR (download-to-own/rent) program.
